Our version of “If I Can Dream” was produced by Jazzmouse in sunny Windsor, well the post recording party was in Windsor. The recording was done at the Jazzmouse Studio in Colnbrook.
"If I Can Dream" was recorded by Elvis to re-launch his career after returning from service in the American army. In our opinion UK business needs to be re-launched on the global stage and our family run businesses inspired to keep on battling for Queen and country. Hopefully the England squad will do their bit by winning this year's World Cup 2010. Some may say that is a big ask but the fans can dream! Download and listen to a CLIP of If I Can Dream 
We recorded our version of “If I Can Dream” back in 2008 but have had to wait until technology caught up to realise our dream ... the idea is that after you have download the track you add your magic and positive energy to it, with the aim of inspiring others and making the UK a better place to do business! Play the track in the background while you sing, play an instrument, act out a scene to camera, tell a joke, show us your hopes and dreams, you decide the content, we'll decide which versions we like the best and post them for the world ... or that small part of it that taps into our space ... to share and enjoy. Record your remix of "If I Can Dream" digitally and then email the file to our If I Can Dream Remix YouTube account. Add your title in the subject line, write 250 words in the body of the email describing your dream and add contact details if you'd like us to say hello. Sharing with good causes 50% of any money generated will be given to Rotary to distribute to good causes and the other 50% will be shared amongst those involved, helping them move their businesses forward, and a portion will be spent on prizes for some of the lucky entrants. We have no idea how popular our version will be and so can't make any commitments to actual prizes, rest assured we'll have some fun with whatever we come up with. The history behind this production of “If I Can Dream” “If I Can Dream” has always been a favourite song of mine (Jon Davey). I first heard it on the Robson & Jerome album while in a corporate job dreaming of freedom! Shortly after hearing the song I did free myself up, I left corporate land for a world trip with the aim of establishing who I was and what should I do for my next trick! That was 14 years ago … In December 2006 I met Jazzmouse at a Creative Business Sector online marketing workshop I was asked to deliver by Bobbi Johal. Paul “Jazzmouse” Fawcus and I got together after the seminar and shared ideas. I told him of my fondness for the “If I Can Dream” track and we discussed the idea of recording it for charity. I had read that “If I Can Dream” had re-launched Elvis’ career when he returned from Germany. A year later, Paul was on tour with Juan Martin in Dubrovnik where he bumped into an Elvis impersonator in the form of Elvin Priestley and was very impressed with his vocal similarity to the main man. In November 2008 we arranged for Elvin to fly down from Manchester for 24 hours between bookings and: • Jazzmouse produced the vocals for If I Can Dream • Hanif Khan from Video Shoot Productions shot the video • John Cassidy took some professional shots • And yours truly paid the bill at the restaurant that evening! Over the next few months musician friends of Jazzmouse added their magic to the track to give us what we have today.
